Entry qualification | High school / secondary education (or higher) Applicants applying for undergraduate degree studies are required to have completed their secondary /high school education. Subjects required to be passed for this programme: Biology and English over 50% in your latest school certificate Applicants, coming from the following countries are required to obtain one year of post-secondary education: - Nigeria Citizens of Uzbekistan also need to have either 1 year of additional post-secondary education or can pass an additional exam in SMK. Please note that you are also required to have proof of passing the biology exam or have additional medical education. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Lithuanian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Other requirements | The acceptable study gap is 7 years. After submitting an application, you will be invited to a short motivational interview for us to determine your English-level skills and motivations for your studies at SMK. Your application will be evaluated based on your performance during the motivational interview together with your other qualifications. Specific requirements for Non-EU applicants: Country-Specific Requirement for Bangladesh Citizens According to the Center of Quality Recognition of Foreign Qualifications (SKVC), there are specific criteria and guidelines that Bangladesh citizens must meet when they are seeking recognition or equivalency for their educational qualifications in SMK University of Applied Sciences: Minimum GPA Requirement: Bangladesh citizens are required to have attained a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.5 or above *in the system out of 5) or 3.5 (in the system out of 4) in their academic records. This reflects a standard of excellence and assures the receiving institution or body that the student has achieved a certain level of academic proficiency in their home country. Relevance of High School Diploma: Beyond just achieving a high GPA, Bangladesh citizens must ensure that their High School diploma qualification is relevant to the field they are applying for. This means that the subjects they studied, and the depth of knowledge acquired in those subjects, should be closely aligned with the field or program they intend to pursue. For instance, a student applying for a course in International Business should ideally have a background in Commerce or similar subjects in their High School curriculum. The General Practice Nursing study programme is science and evidence-based practice teaching.
The trained nursing specialist will have a deeply holistic approach to health, will be able to provide safe, high-quality services to society, apply modern technologies in professional activities, and help clients to form positive attitudes to improving health and quality of life.
The goal of the General Practice Nursing programme is not only to provide care for sick patients and prevent the progression of disease but also to take care of public health promotion.

- Assess the nursing needs of the patient, family, and community and plan the nursing process in a responsible manner;
- Prepare patients for instrumental tests and examinations and medical intervention procedures in a responsible manner;
- Identify life-threatening conditions, assess and tackle them in an effective way;

- Develop healthy lifestyle habits and behaviors of the patient, family, and community.
