Entry qualification

We do not require any specific qualifications for you to study the ONLINE English Foundation course. You can join the courses even before finishing your education. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Lithuanian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.

Language requirements	English Depending on your English level proficiency, you will be divided into groups. You will need to upload your English-level proof during the application procedure. This program is not intended for native English speakers.

Other requirements	This course is delivered in full remote mode, meaning that we will not provide the opportunity to arrive in Lithuania for the participants of this course. You must have a stable Internet connection to receive good-quality information.

Overview

For students needing to advance their English language skills, SMK offers English Foundation Programme. The duration of the programme is one or, if needed, two semesters. After completing the programme you will bring your language level to the upper intermediate level which is required to study at SMK. The programme is available every semester starting Fall and Spring and is delivered full-time in remote mode.

Programme structure

The program consists of 12 academic hours per week plus various independent and group projects in order to help students better prepare for university studies.

Program encompasses these subjects:

- English Reading and Analysis;
- Basics of English Grammar;
- English Listening and Understanding;
- Public Speaking;

This course doesn’t grant any ECTS credits.

Career opportunities

After finishing the course, you will receive a Certificate in English Language.

With this certificate, you may proceed to apply for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in English, depending on your education.

Acceptance for this course does not grant you the guaranteed further admission to any other course.

If you choose to continue studying at SMK and apply for one of SMK’s Professional Bachelor Study Programmes, no registration fee will be required.
